Okay, so we are some issues into the sonic comics, timeline. Only Ian flynn, got the entire, timeline, mapped in he's head...but...from what we have read so far, this is basically my theory on what the new timeline is. Im gonna divide it, in eras, to make it easier.
Classic era.
Sonic comic origins. Okay, so sonic comic orgins, happens, with Robotnik taking over, mobotropolis, and banisihing, Naugus, and the king to the special zone. most likely, he rebuilt mobotropolis, into the scrap brain zone/Robotropolis. during this time, I imagine, that Snively is the only "organic" being, that works for Robotnik that is not a robot.
and, as sally and the others are kids, sonic 1 happens, with sonic stopping robotnik, as sonic fights robotnik and snidely (which I imagine, are based on the different bosses, in sonic 1, with the different eggmobiles, and I guess, that somewhere, during one of the special zones, were sonic gathers the chaos emeralds, he rescues the king. I also imagine, that Sonic accidentally unleashes Naugus at the same time, but without knowing naugus' evil plans. this inspires, sally and the others, to create the freedom fighters.
By the end, the freedom fighters, along with Sonic have defeated robotnik, and taken back mobotropolis. then, Naugus uses this as an opportunity, to attack Mobotropolis, to take it, as he's own, with the freedom fighters, fighting him off.
Thus, ends the Satam Sub era.
then, sonic 2 happens. I imagine, its story would basically be the same, as the second half of the genesis arc, minus sonic using chaos control at the end, but instead destroys the death egg.
after this, we get Sonic 2 game gear, with breezie, and the s6. (the scene from sonic 268) but with breezie betraying Sonic at some point.
Then, Sonic 3 and knuckles, happens, most likely the same as the games, but I think the freedom fighters, might have some roles here, but I might be wrong.
then, Sonic CD. I imagine, this is where robotnik got egg bosses, that distracts the freedom fighters, along with Tails, while robotnik tempts sonic to come to little planet, then the rest there, goes as with the game.
then, we get sonic the hedgehog 4 episode 1 and 2.
now, the freedom fighters, are all together, with Robotnik, having he's egg bosses, beneath him.
thus ends the classic era.
then we go the modern era. I imagine, all the games, from here on out happens the same way as they did, and the freedom fighters, are all busy with different egg bosses. With so many egg bosses, its only natural, that the freedom fighters, have to spread out. the games, happens, in its order, the only difference, is that Sonic unleashed, lost world, and sonic chronicles, does not happen.
then, parts of the pre-reboot things happens but with certain differences. snively betraying eggman, and tries to take the empire, as in scrambled, but fails, but escapes eggman, and gets a position at G.U.N.
Eggman, launches the death egg 3 (Since, death egg 2, already existed in Sonic the hedgehog 4 episode 2) and uses the genesis wave. but fails. differences, here, is that Sally doesn't get roboticized, and naugus instead, Loses he's powers.
then, we get to sonic issue 252.
And thats my theory, on the new comic timeline. Like I said, Ian flynn got the entire timeline in he's head, so he is the only one, who knows, and this is just a theory. most likely Im wrong, but who knows. we just have to wait and see!
